That entire America-to-the-rescue thing oughta stop.
[/b]

No, I think it ought to continue. It's apparently what the people of the U.S. want to do, what they feel they ought to do, what we think is right to do. The will of the people should govern in this, and Americans come from all over and apparently want to reach back and aid their ancestral homes.

... Just a few months back I heard this French chick say that the US only liberated France from Hitler so they can sell hamburgers on Champs Elisees...

If so, it was either an incredibly prescient transaction or a very stupid one, since no Frenchperson dares to set foot in that place. I've seen it, although I remember it as a Burger King-- and it was empty.

They also complain that we've tortured them with the trash of Disney. Yet, on that same boulevard, I saw giant posters of Chuck Connors and Jerry Lewis-- The Rifleman and the Comic Pig-- supposedly geniuses.

I once lived in a trailer park, and I know trash when I see it. Disney is not trash, but Jerry Lewis? You make the call, our lines are open.

Re: Waco-Type events (Reloaded)

If I could leave the entire world, all the countries to themselves for a week - and send the US on a vacation, now wouldn't that be fun to watch? You know, America packs her bags and like a mom of five takes a well-deserved holiday. AND takes all her stuff with her - I'm talking about all the American products sold and bought all over the world, products no-one can even copy, let alone top... Chaos, disorder, fear and loathing:-) OK, so I may be over-doing it just a bit, but - just to give you a simple example of how big a role the US play in everyday life of pretty much every person in the world - don't you guys find it ridiculous to see anti-American protesters wearing Nike shoes?

Re: Waco-Type events (Reloaded)

Isabel, make that 5 years, and you have a deal.

Re: Waco-Type events (Reloaded)

Paul, you seem to me like a truly nice human being; peace-loving and forgiving. Maybe that sort of attitude comes with age, but I'm 26 and get fed up quite fast;-) And, yes, I know how ready and willing to help the Americans are, but for how long is one supposed to ignore hostility, ingratitude and open attacks?

There was a McD's right on the Champs Elisees the last time I was there, back in 1996, but I don't know if it's still there. That Frenchie probably wasn't referring to any particular store, she was just trying to be funny while trashing the US, it's a national sport there.

They trash us beacause of a kind of national inferiority complex. We did what they coulden't in two world wars, and we protected them from Russia for fifty years after. Its kind of like the little brother resenting the older brother for scaring the bullies off of him. Understandable in a way. Anyway, who cares? Their time as a world power is long over, and they're just trying to hold onto a long dead sense of superiority.

Re: Waco-Type events (Reloaded)

I wonder how the world would have been if the Third Reich ever succeeded. Oh well at least they told the "truth" somewhat (more) than what is done in this "modern" world

Well, if you are blonde haired, blue eyed and don't have a habit of thinking and speaking your mind, it might not be that bad. Most likely if they had won in europe, we'd still be sitting here pointing ever larger missiles at each other, sinking ships and fortifying coastlines.
Exactly what truth are you talking about.

Re: Waco-Type events (Reloaded)

I speak of the whole ideology.
Do you know it?
Are you aware of their history? What they were all about? Why they did what they did?
And yes, they went into the too extreme, but the basics and foundation stones of their ideas is still interesting. It's about history really. Back to ancient days.

I am not a nazi don't worry about that. But I am however interested in the occult history of the third reich. What they were based on. And its pretty interesting.

They were about spiritualism, ancient history related to their beings (so called "aryans"), meditation, purification, even vegetarism. They were fighting against the christianity. And so much more
