It's not cheaper, as far as I know.
The pre-purchase only gives you the Tecumseh and Chaouanons Pack (Chaouanons civ). Also, when the game is about to release, you'll be able to play 5 days earlier.
I read somewhere that they removed the workers. Tile improvements will be built from the city screen. I think this is a big win.
Yeah, looking at the screenshots, it looks and feels a lot like AoE. With a slight hexagonal style. It feels good, though, as it's way less cartoony than Civ 6.

Cool. I'm going to get the big pack. No workers...hmmmm. Here's my issue as well. In real life, you can have more than one project going at once, not one at a time. We'll see what they did, though.
I had a Radeon RX 580 video card that I loved. It sparked and I saw a flame. Toast. I ended up having to buy a card that was not quite as good, so I hope it still works well with this game. At the time, the price of the RX580 went up to about $1000. Just did a search - prices dropped drastically. I'll just get a new card if I'm not happy. Yay! Maybe I should just do it now!
