It's so long overdue there's almost zero excitement goosebumps for me even as a huge Zelda fan.

Which zelda game should be made into a movie? I think one of the classics like OOT or link to the past
would be the best choice although link's awakening could also work.
I think they should forget about filming the dungeon and labyrinth scenes for the most part
and shorten those towards the end of the movie. Have there only be one or two dungeons
and make them be like near the final battle scene and rush through them so they're not boring
and too much like a video game. Make the overall thing look kind of like Lord of the Rings
and focus more on story and dialogue than trying to be like the game.
Considering the super mario movie made more than a billion dollars at the box office
and outperformed almost every animated movie ever made, there are gonna be
high hopes for this one and it could turn out either really good, really bad, or just a dud
or something in-between. Personally I think they should have made a Zelda movie a LONG
time ago in like late 80's or early 90's, it just feels so late in the game to me. I can imagine
a zelda movie in my head so easily I barely need to see one.
I even saw a fan made OOT movie on youtube that actually wasn't that bad but got taken
down by Nintendo mid-way through production or something.

thoughts?

To me Zelda should have been the first choice to be made into a movie.
Game movies are not a great idea to begin with but if ur gonna do one
do Zelda not mario because Zelda is slightly more dialogue and plot oriented

there's more than enough to work with in link to the past:

I always thought link to the past was the most underrated zelda game,
it's the best one imo not OOT. The music is so damn good that the emotional end credits song
literally bring tears to my eyes.
Second best zelda game is Twilight Princess, midna was a great character
too bad she won't return, although it was nice to see her in hyrule warriors.

anyway, link to the past's plot would work great for a movie you could
work around some of the BS and shorten it to two dungeons,
it could be like a King Arthurish/lord of the rings hybrid movie,
zelda owes a lot of its mythos to king arthur with the "master sword"
being pulled from stone etc and if the current climate won't
allow zelda to get kidnapped you could work around that too
just by having her briefly get snatched, fight her way out and
then work alongside link as an equal or something like that to
help save the captured "Triforce" i have a hunch princess zelda's
good with a crossbow

Recently got it on SNES Classic Mini, but haven't seen the ending yet.
