Re: Talk in questions.

Didn't you catch the part about someone talking to their mates? (As this isn't Utah, it must mean the conversation is taking place in the UK somewhere, Aye?)

Wouldn't the perpetrator be out for some harmless excercise rather than leave the girl knocked up?

Isn't it funny that the Brits always say it's the Yanks who can't speak proper English when in fact it's the Brits to utter stuff like luv, 'ave or dun?[/b]
That's a statement, not a question, so is this. :p

Doesn't the American butchering of our English language with grammatical collisons such as; color, sump'thin'z up momma, wurz ma hoss daddy?, yowassupmofo, sidewalk over pavement and hospitalize (ise) rank as far more sinister mastications of the mother-tongue?

Now, that was a question... ;)

Re: Talk in questions.

Are you saying that the basdardization of your language only happened here in the states, or perhaps you forgot about the oh so proper speak performed in liverpool and the illustrious jabber of the cockney accent?

Re: Talk in questions.

Dost thou slight the holy Liverpudlian here?

Are mine ears perchance unbound to offense by thine scroffulous invective?

Avast and en-garde, scroffulous knave.

Re: Talk in questions.

Do you not think that americanisms in the English language constitute changes of meaning, whereas in the UK, the variations are merely local dialect or abbreviations?
