Thoughts on what Bigfoot really is?

I believe in that the rare sightings of Bigfoot is actually a group of neanderthals that modern man have not managed to encounter
The almas variety are well known to the locals in the mountain ranges and villages but they were spoken off to outsiders looking for bigfoot and hence the confusions. But despite huge strength, stealth and long arms with thick fur there isn't much similarity. The sasquatch have supernatural abilities, almas do not, although almas can speak it is as you would imagine neanderthals, grunts and noises more than sophisticated language.

Back in the 1960s there was a writer (Peter Haining I think it was) who made a conjecture about "The Second Race", a primitive species or subspecies of human that might be responsible for reports of "wild men", both in ancient times and modern.
