What City and in what Country does it rain almost every day of the year?

Who can drink the Havdala Wine and Who cannot & Why?

Why is the sky Blue and no other color?[/b]

Let me give it a try...

1. Manila, Philippines from July through September; Manaus, Brazil from December through May
2. men can drink Havdalah wine, women can't a) because of a superstition that if a woman drinks from the Havdalah glass she will grow a beard/mustache, B) because the tree of Knowledge that Adam sinned with was a grape vine, Eve squeezed grapes and gave the drink to Adam. HOWEVER, if a woman makes the Havdalah blessing, she is allowed to take a sip
3. because Rayleigh scattering, which is what happens to light when it passes through particles that have a diameter one-tenth that of the wavelength of the light, is more effective at short wavelengths - the blue end of the visible spectrum

My questions...
1. did I get any of this right?
2. how does StarLord come up with these questions?
3. why, why, WHY, Delilah?

Re: Three questions.

Actually I believe it's a city in India up near the very north and it rains something like 360 days a year with an unheard of inches per year, like living in a swimming pool.

# 2 you hammered, Oy Vey! Gevault! Meshuganah!

3 wouldn't it be due to the water vapor and the way light refracts upon it?

1. No, but my body can. I'm feeling much better today.
2. Hell, just ask my wife. She knows I've been brain dead for years. That or just plain crazy.
3. I just did.

1. How soon do think before the proverbial dam breaks on the US debt?
2. How low will the dollar go before the "herd" bails out?
3. How long before the average lifestyle in the industrialized West is at parody with lifestyles in the developing East?

Answer those questions, and you win the booby prize. Not a pretty picture.

A. Cary lives in the USA. ?That doesn't make me pessimistic about the future financial scenario. ?Most people are busy being \"happy shiney people.\"

B. Probably lots more than you do.

C. Anything fluid with a Specific Gravity over 1000.

1. What do you think will happen when the bubble bursts?

Something between social and financial discord we haven't seen in a couple hundred years, or total financial armageddon.

2. Have you bought a shovel?

I have long owned a shovel and a spade.

3. Aren't you glad we will only get the fall out instead of being at Gound Zero?

If you're thinking the financial shockwaves will be contained primarily in the US, you might want to rethink that. It'll probably be centered in the US, but this one's going to be global.
[/b]

1. Who do you think will be the scapegoat blamed for the financial calamity?

2. How will this affect the next round of national elections around the world?

3. What do you think will be the best currency to be in when the SHTF?

Re: Three questions.

1. Bush & Co.
2. I won't be standing for election, Can't think of anyone who would want to.
3. Euro? That might collapse on itself, unpopular, so I stick with sterling.

If the Chinese pull the plug, we all get screwed, but they lose their export market and their modernisation plan goes to the wall. I think in general the U.S. needs to re-examine the situation. I'm not looking forward to it.

1. Are we downheartened? (is that a word)?
2. Do you think we can ride the storm?
3. How fast can you dig?
