Just getting that close to the singularity could cause time dilation on a scale of hundreds of thousands of years in your original reference frame (Earth, presumably.).
Depending on the size of the thing.

I wonder if the event horizon is very distorted as well if the black hole is rotating, though. You might be able to get closer to one that is rotating and get tossed out in some parabolic trajectory. Again, not sure. It seems like rotating the things makes it much more complex.

If you don't get that close, you're just a spectator.
