Was I followed? Creeped out.

Ok, I need to talk about this to get it out of my head. Yesterday around 3pm I was driving down our dirt roads towards home. An older black pickup was parked on the corner. Thought nothing of it. My son and I came home and about 5 minutes later we heard the diesel engine of a truck. I looked out the window and that black truck was here. I called my husband immediately. They sat for a couple minutes then left. I was ready to get my gun. We are allowed to open carry on our own property. And we have security cameras, so we have proof.

Chances are, they were lost and probably stopped to call someone. In the country, there is an unwritten rule that you do not enter someone's property, even if the gate is open, unless you are expected or you're UPS, FedEx, etc.

So, last night I had a dream about being kidnapped. Then, I wakeup and had to reboot the camera system because it was glitchy. Now, I'm creeped out. I'll be carrying my gun today. Am I overreacting? I feel like they were waiting for me. They were rednecks, though. The government wouldn't dress up as rednecks, would they?

There isn't anything the police can do. If it happens again, or if I see the truck again, I'll call. We informed our neighbors and showed them the truck, but they've never seen it. There have been incidences of people snooping for horses to steal, but would they do that in broad day light?

We do live next to a meth lab. It's possible they couldn't find it.

Could be a premonition, could be a bunch of minor demons playing with you to induce fear states to lower your vibration.
Impossible for anyone but you to figure out what though, but remember the dream states are real places.
I suggest you stay vigilant but don't let that control you if you can.

Having a meth lab nearby isn't so good. Those guys could be lost dealers looking for the pickup point. If they were, that's not too smart of the producer. I guess I shouldn't expect common sense from either. I wouldn't recommend becoming a narc, but maybe there's a way you can give the cops a subtle hint without leaving a paper trail? If you can, hide a camera where you can get license plates. If the main house camera pointing towards the road can get the general action, then a trail camera taking high res stills could work. If anyone finds it and asks, tell them the coons are in your trash again and you're looking for counts and trapping points.

Sleep with a gun under your pillow, a shotgun (or two) under the bed, pistols under the tables, pistols hiding behind books on the shelves (in case you get tied up in your own home), and so on... and then you'll sleep much better. Y'all's kids are old enough to know not to play with them. If something goes wrong, Buddy can help.

Could be some illegal immigrants casing your place to come back when your are not home. I heard this from Kim Komando on her show as she described something similar happening to her. They will electronically disable your security and WiFi. Also check your property for anything that looks out of the ordinary. Kim found a surveillance device left behind to record when she was not home.

You might want to insulate the security system against EMP attacks and have cameras with physical cables out of reach that are not easily jammed. Have one hidden that can get faces and number plates from a good angle.

I already have an alligator sign. And we’ve contacted every agency in the book. They just don’t care.

Nothing happened today. They may have been lost.

I would install an extra & prominently placed camera.

Trying to get my husband to install cameras at the gate. Been asking for 5 years. He dug a trench once for the electric, but never did it.
My gut now says it was a lost druggy looking for the meth lab. They probably stopped and called someone, even though it would have been more appropriate to leave the property and then call. I am still being very cautious, though. I'm carrying again.
