What is antimatter?

What happens when you combine matter with antimatter? (Creates energy?)

If antimatter exists would there be a periodic table listing the anti version of the elements?

Are there any known elements that when combined they annihilate each other?

Antimatter is composed of antiparticles, which are counterparts to particles found in regular matter. These antiparticles have the same mass as their corresponding particles but opposite electric charge and other quantum properties. When antimatter comes into contact with matter, both are annihilated in a release of energy.

So can we reverse the electric charge in particles?
Is all energy the process of matter and antimatter being combined or is it just a type of energy?

1) "Releases" energy. Probably all photons if 2 exact particles collide. 2) Theoretically yes. 3) Not any normal elements.

1) Not that I know of. 2) It's only one type of energy release.

If all particles are also waves, then matter is the positive pressure and anti-matter is the negative pressure. So if you have 5 apples and take away 7 apples, you have -2 apples (or two anti-apples) left.
