Perhaps you can explain what type of rectifier would be found in a crystal radio the how you would dampen down the pulsating DC and what this could be used for other than listening to Radio broadcasts.

Oh dear, you happened to Google "crystal radio" to come up with the term rectifier!
The "crystal" would be either Galena or a Germanium crystal (later to be become a Germanium Diode), and it "Rectifies" the incoming Radio Wave which means changing that Radio Wave from an Alternating Current (AC)..into a Direct Current (DC)..and at the same time modulating it so that you can actually hear that Radio Wave...

Now perhaps you can explain what "you" mean by dampening the "Pulsating FC" and what this could be used for other Stan listening to Radio Broadcast ..I await your reply in anticipation ..

I've given a reasonable explanation as to why I can't offer a photograph at this time. I don't possess the necessary equipment and I'm having to live off my wits. I ask simply for patience and understanding.
