This is a dream I had some time back and the image has really stuck with me simply for it's bizareness.
Basically I was in a motorway service station yet it was more like a grotty road side cafe and spent some time in here sort of flitting about as dreams do. I was in an old car I used to own (MkII Escort) and had been having trouble climbing the hill of one side of this motorway. The reason being, the hill was probably a 1 in 2 or 3, incredibly steep and covered in thick snow. I had been driving round in the snow for a while and remember a couple of roundabouts n I have a general recurring dream of long roads, sometimes winding in the air.
At one point a lorry trailer came over the barrier and slid over me and someone else, we were ducking down by the barrier, it was really close, I had to lie on the ground and was very claustrophobic, I think someone slid the trailer off of us, because it was icy obviously it would slide...
As I got up and looked up the hill I saw lorry trailers and other traffic piling down this ridiculously steep hill but with animals at the front, not the normal front of an artculated lorry you expect, pairs of horses and even a pig which had it's legs splayed out under the weight. They were really struggling and trying to back up to slow these trailers.
Some of them had like carriagemen holding the reigns, sitting where the hoses plug into the trailer, trying to get it all under control. And I could see the worry on the animals faces, the horses were frightened, I think because they were approaching a roundabout, or sharp turn, at the bottom of the hill. They were all making noises as well, this was the worst bit, really panicky whinying (horses) and squeeling (like a pig - the pigs) The pig was the worst I think...Squashed and panicky, though it wasn't killing it as you'd expect, I don't think.
I am learning to draw, as soon as I can draw or paint it properly I will post it, is a proper freaky dream-like image I have in my head...Please feel free to tell me what is right with that shit...
