Telepathy & intent of chance will do it. There's also devices, such as show in websites as The Galactic server 2. In my case I'm related to ETs, so them showing up at times was to caution me on certain things.
There's many, many, differing types of ETs, all with differing motivations and wants. So you gotta kind of figure that out first. Have fun and use your web sources.
