Ahhh, I think you are doing this movie a huge dis-service.
Sure, it was no Aliens and didn't cut any new ground like Avatar, but for a war film with Aliens in, it was a good watch. Don't examine the story too closely but, ya don't admire the view when you're on a roller-coaster do you? Grab a few suds, some nacho's and cheese, sit back and enjoy. For what it is, it's a good movie, better than Skyline any day of the week.
If ya don't like this, you won't like Falling Skies. I like Falling Skies.
