How can time travel work? Doesn't the Earth move through space? Go back 1000 years and you'll end up in deep space!

My current experimentation tends to lead me to believe that we will have to master all of the basic forces and use them all to better understand how to manipulate time. Basically we are just pissing in the wind with make believe theories.

Pissing in the wind, a sure way of getting your own back ;) :D..

The earth rotates around the sun. The Solar System moves. The universe is expanding. If you travel through time, forward or back, why should you end up in exactly the same place you are in NOW?
Which is to say that if you were to build a device that had to navigate a very simple time vector (say go back 24 hours) it would also have to navigate a very complex space vector even if moving "nowhere" (e.g. even if going from the corner of your basement to the same spot in your basement) to account for the relative movement of the spot where the device sat at takeoff.

Theoretically, this is not insurmountable - there are analogous technologies that overcome analogous challenges. By putting satellites in known, controlled positions above the earth we were then able to triangulate from them and navigate the face of the earth with ships, cars and planes with unprecedented accuracy - to generalize from that solution, the complex space vector of time travel could be nullified by placing local "beacons" in place and the TT device could be programed to navigate to the beacon or to triangulate from members of a grid of such beacons, regardless where in physical space the earth has moved to.

Or consider old pictures illustrating the concept of spacetime in explanations of Relativity picturing a human being from birth to death as a long fourth dimensional worm. Every object in spacetime can be pictured as such a worm through four dimensions. A TT device could perhaps use any such worm like we would use a banister rail when going down the stairs in the dark - which is to say it need only somehow anchor itself to a local object through time to overcome the complex space vector of travel.

Another possibility is that there might some greater ability of the human mind itself to navigate space and time that we can tap into. Many reports of purported TT devices involve machine/mind cooperation. The descriptions of TT in the Montauk books, for example, involve the interfacing with psychics such as Duncan Cameron as an integral part of the navigation system of the devices. Steven Gibbs' HDR is purportedly a device that doesn't itself TT - it supposedly attunes and enables the mind/spirit of the user to accomplish the jump (mentally or physically). Or consider reports of the development of protocols for remote viewing - when testing and attempting to remove alternative sources of information that the viewers might use to deduce information about targets, they replaced map coordinates they had been using with random labels (to eliminate the possibility of the viewer perhaps having general knowledge of the Lat and Long of position of the target). It was discovered that any random number will serve as a label to allow the viewer to focus on the target as long as that number at some time gets associated with the target - even if randomly associated to it by machine some time after the viewing attempt. If this is so, it appears that we might have some untapped ability to locate a spacetime position simply by it being referred to.

Sonix, thanks very much for your well-considered reply....
"...which is to say it need only somehow anchor itself to a local object through time to overcome the complex space vector of travel."
"somehow" is very vague....metaphysically speaking...but, yes, I know, it's all highly speculative...

I often wonder how we can do time travel using remote viewing.

Debunkers claim it is simply imagination.

However, back in 2005 I saw an eerie 2020 with the mall being torn down and a bankrupt sears. Here we are.
