For the unknowing: Darby is the owner of The Anomalies Network - http://www.anomalies.net. They have a very extensive database and forum related to paranormal activities, events, etc. I highly recommend going by and checking them out.

Welcome back Darby! Thanks for some specifics to alot of generalities that we already had (much of it from your earlier posts in TTI and Anomolies) :) We appreciate your contribution.

I wanted to ask you a few questions if you don't mind. You wrote this earlier in a thread over at TTI. I was wondering if you could be more specific as to "who" this person is.

.......and also, what part, if any, do you think Oliver plays in this whole saga? Do we just see JTs where there are none or do you think he has a more active role? Did you see Jay's film or just the bits on the web? Do you find it strange that Oliver is reluctant to be seen in it or can that just be explained away as a privacy issue?

But the truth is that I am not the owner of Anomalies.net. Though I am both a moderator and an administrator, Olav Phillips owns the site - not me.

As to your first question I'm still waiting for an answer. It seems that there is a very well known physicist on the West Coast who has a very striking (yes - brotherly) resemblance to Larry Haber...and his name is Dr. Carl Haber, PhD, Senior Scientist, Berkeley Labs Physics Division.

Hmmm...Titor made reference to "his friends" at Stanford and SLAC. Wanna take a stab at what area of California Dr. Carl Haber spends a lot of research time?

I've had no response to my inquiries therefore the question is speculation and nothing more should be drawn from it. But...

Do a Google on Google Image for Carl Haber and Larry Haber. Interesting photos. (A simple yes or no response from the principles would put an end to this specualtion...and I've been waiting for about 6 months. No dice.)

Oliver Williams?

Frankly he is a "Johnny Come Lately." Pamela, Rick and I kept the Titor Saga alive at a time when it was really, really dead. By late Spring/Early Summer 2001 Titor was about as alive as my great great grandmother. But we kept plugging away at it. Yes, Pamela had her POV and Rick and I had ours. Pamela ultimately went her own way...but we did keep the story alive through online conversations, debates and even arguments.

Williams simply blitzed the Internet with hundreds of fake posts that lead back to his site. Larry Haber's crew did the same thing (through Buzzmaker et al). About 99% of his Titor infoirmation is a regurgitation of our posts from 2000-2001. The rest of his information is drawn from the exceedingly few emails that he has chosen to post on his board. Given the totality of the information on his site, he offers nothing original. He just offers a compendium of the Titor related posts. MadIce has an infinitely more helpful interactive site if one wants a searchable index of Titor posts.

In any case, Williams is basically clueless. He didn't even know his own website's URL during his first on the air interview (he asked his off mike associate what the URL was). He's simply trying to make a buck off of the online interest. I don't have a problem with that at all - but he's still clueless.

I do believe that one should be known by the company that one keeps. Williams is known by his association with Hustler Magazine. That's how he ultimately decided to promote his "association" with the Titor Saga.

I have this feeling that Boomer didn't have a pornographic magazine in mind as the vehicle through which he wanted to get out the message that one of every two people on the planet would be killed in a nuclear holocaust sometime in the near future. Somehow I perceive "perfect" plastic boobs and 10 million degree incinerated humans on the same page as being a bit of a disconnect. Call me short sighted.

I just found another link to an article that is very interesting. It's in regards to the Higgs Boson. It talks of Z particles and colliders..the works. The physicist that's working on it is name. I may be reaching here but what if there really is a time traveller. Let's look at it in another light. Just suppose the time traveller didn't come from 2036 but went to there. Isn't it possible that time travel was actually accomplished during our time, JT aka (someone on the Haber team) went into the future and saw everything that has been posted for us and brought it back. That would explain how the poster knew everything. Remember he said that John Titor was a real name but he said something about "not if it's a real name" "when it's a real name". Something like that. Our time traveller could have met a John Titor in the future. Someone that hasn't been born yet. That would explain alot of things, like how Haber talks about the time traveller and looks completely sincere. He said he represents the family of the time traveller. Well, if I were a time traveller in our time, I would prefer someone in my own family representing me than not.

Then that would make like 99% of the story not true, except for the time travel part. That would be an awful lot of lies for no apparent reason, like the IBM computer thingy. What would be the point in lying about all that other stuff? What do you mean when you say "saw everything that has been posted for us and brought it back"?

If the two of you really don't buy into the titor saga, why would you possibly want to keep it alive?

Extreme...Kerosene, I only post what I find and give scenarios. Even if this were the way, that doesn't mean there wasn't a JT. He could have came back with them, he could have came in his own machine. He could have only lied about his location. Extreme, I thought your main concern was the message that was given, not the messanger. With either story, the message would be the same. A time traveller brought us the predictions.

I'm not saying that this is it, but when you look at it, it certainly looks convincing doesn't it. Other than that, it would have to be an enormous coincidence. You guys look at what I've brought you and then post your thoughts. If you think it's wrong, tell me why you think that.

PE,

We were having the Titor conversation on Art Bell's BBS "Post-2-Post". Even though the topic was started on the Time Travel Institute it really took over Art Bell's BBS. And then, over night, with absolutely no prior notice, Art Bell and Premiere Radio decided to pull the plug on P2P. They closed down the BBS and the folks who were posting had no way to contact each other, keep the conversatin going or to even a direct way to contact Bell. It was literally a situation where we were posting at 2:00 am, got a few winks of sleep, logged on at 6:00 am and the site was gone.

Rick and I did some searching around and managed to contact both Art Bell and Premiere Radio's President, Kraig Kitchin directly. They were "nice" but firm...the forum was gone and nothing that we could muster up was going to change their decision. Bell said that he and Kitchin had had a meeting over the issue of the BBS sometime before "that night". In that meeting they decided the fate of the forum.

The best answer that we got from them was that the BBS was a pain in the "butt", the cost of maintaining the forums was worth neither the time nor the effort and that they didn't believe that they had had any obligation to give some warning to their online audience that the site was being pulled. (Though Bell didn't miss any sleep over it I listened to my last Art Bell show the night that he pulled the site down. Just my little protest but its held for over four years.)

So...Rick contacted Olav and Olav allowed us to open a Time Travel forum and move the conversation over to Anomalies. But the disruption of changing sites, URL's and the lack of help coming from Art Bell (on his site or on the air) had a profound effect on the number of old P2P members who were able to find us. Bell didn't provide a link on his site. The topic was dead on arrival. But Rick, Olav and I knew that if we kept hammering away we could get the topic back into the front lines and given enough time the old members from P2P would find us...which translates into "hit" counts for the site. It's a business, after all.

What Rick and I happen to believe is irrelevent to the reasoning behind the "why" we chose to keep Titor alive. We had a hot topic, Bell quashed it for his own business reasons and we found a way to provide a place for the conversation to continue...but only after everyone had had time to find where we had moved the conversation to.

Might it be possible that fear of becoming "unpatriotic" or perhaps a suspected "domestic terrorist" being persecuted for "supporting terror" is a reason to "pull the plug" on ones own interests and freedom of speech?
