yes offshore but felt in australia the western half of it where i am iyt must of gone around chunks of the state as it dident come through my erea so i wonder how they could feel it down south

Unfortunately there is nothing no one can do. When the earth platlets shift it is bound to happen, just like volcanic eruption. And living by such fault lines is never good. We hen I was a teenager lived in Cali 35-40 min from San Francisco, and I was caught in the big one there, were it crumbled the bridge and our house moved 2 inches or more off the foundation. Mother nature is a B*TCH!
