@Kairos - President Trump is working on, among other things, getting people, including single mothers, off entitlement programs and giving them more incentives to work. Yes, the President has a lot of work to do, but all this stuff isn't impossible to reverse. Is there anything I missed?

I wonder if you realize they have no intention of working. These are women that would otherwise be doing jobs like roofing, construction, lumbers, etc. The things men do who do not qualify for professional jobs. Women have zero intention of doing those things. It's easier to download babies and live off welfare and child support.

The ones that want out of that hell I respect. I'd like to give them daycare so they can go to work. That's really all single mothers need: day care.

@Kairos - Wow, that's some pretty big stuff I didn't know about, though I'm cautiously optimistic that the President will come up with a solution of some sort. Trump is full of surprises.

Cut off all the gibs. The only gibs they should receive is day care. If kids need assistance, then we should do that directly through the schools. They can be issued clothing and fed breakfast, lunch, and even dinner at schools and day care facilities. Not a single penny should go to the hands of single mothers. If you want to turn this decline around, you really have to do this.

More than half of millennial households are single mothers. The children of single mothers are what make the inner city such a nightmare. The inner city is what all of society is going to look like when the children of these millennial single mothers grow up and begin committing rampant crimes. It really is going to be bad. Every civilization considered single mothers to be a kind of social cancer for good reason.

No offense to women who are that, but it's a hugely destructive trend for our society to see this. It should not be incentivized at all.

There is nothing in this world more devastating than to be born to a single mother. No other demographic factor comes close to how that sets people up for failure and ruin. No amount of educational reform can fix that either. You have to cut single mothers off from the money.

But not illegal immigrants?

The memes and videos just keep rolling with Millenials. And I love it when they get worked up. I guess I'm technically a Millenial depending on what scale you read. I'm in some sort of weird middle ground. But I tend to lean most of my opinions towards my parents generation and not what is supposed to be my generation. However, I've seen it happen around me time and time again and it confuses the Hell out of me. People that grew up as my friends with the same ideals and what I thought same upbringing have some twisted idea of entitlement that blows my mind. For me and mine, if I don't have work, I move. Then move again if need be. I've lived in 6 different countries and about 12 states in the US. When I visit back home every few years, people always want to buy me a drink and talk about how I got to where I'm at and they're still at home struggling to find work. When I bring up the subject that there are tons of jobs out there if you're just willing to move, they want to talk about other things. The good old times of when we were younger. I've had people ask where these mythical jobs are at and I tell them.. Hell some companies even will pay to help you move. Other's will let you travel back and forth from anywhere in the country. And it just leads to blank stares. I know people that went to college for whatever random college degree they picked the day they went to college drunk and now regret it because they chose a profession that isn't viable in a community of less than 2,000 people. Yet, they can't seem to comprehend why they can't get a job in their field while still staying in the area.

Yeah there are reasons why some people can't just up and leave, but if your wife is only working at McDonalds and you have no job.. it doesn't make sense to me why they don't move when there are companies out there that will pay you to move to them. The only thing I can figure is that most of these jobs are severe manual labor jobs and you will work your ass off. I guess that barely surviving is a better option for some than doing actual work.

I'll agree with you on that one. I mean, did you see the spread of McDonalds he laid out for Clemson to celebrate their National Championship?

And here I thought you didn't like socialism :ROFLMAO:. I will agree with you, however, that this is a much better solution for single mothers (or really anybody). The person receiving the benefits still has to show that they actually work otherwise they can say goodbye to the benefit.

Being a part of the Oregon Trail Generation (first few years of Millennials), I see entitlement running rampant through my ilk. Why? Because our Boomer parents told us that if we go to college and get a masters or doctorate, then we will get the job of our dreams. That the job will just be handed to us because we "deserve it". Bull-shit. That's why you see Millennials avoiding hard (or actual) work... because it's beyond them. It's sickening, really.
