Re: 100% Positive
I remember, when 9/11 happened, and people were sitting around talking about it, there was some feeling of happiness-- not because Americans got killed, or because of the destruction or anything like that. It was because now, America knows what we're up against. People were happy that people over there will finally understand what it's like over here.
I remember how my school started a fundraiser for 9/11 survivors, and my prep group started a letter-writing campaign... there was so much support and a very strong "we've been there, we know what it's like, we're with you all the way" feeling.
I heard about the Jews who were dancing in NYC when it happened. I also heard they were drunk. I have no idea what was their story, of course, but I really don't think that people who planned and executed something like this would make themselves known in this way.
As for the Mossad-- that's totally ridiculous. People who blame this on the Mossad don't know much about the way this country works. This is a country that works on the lowest bidder. A country in which if you want things done, you have to do it yourself-- including anything within the government/military. I can't think of any good examples to explain this knid of culture, but I doubt very much that the Mossad will/was able to perform such a flawless, successful, big operation-- or that it had the interest to do it. Yes, I know that people are going to point to Iraq, but if anyone in our government wanted the US to go to war with Iraq, there are hundreds of ways to do this, easier ways, far easier than crashing planes into buildings.
The Mossad was at its top condition in 1961, with Eichmann. I'm afraid it's gone downhill since then.
