Depends on what you mean by "use".
1. Steve ran an HDR 24/7 in his house in order to create a "time protection bubble",
to protect him from aliens, demons, Satan, and "spider demons".
"What are the Rates and Frequencies to bind Satan and all his minions" type of intention statement.
2. Steve "tested" every unit he made for function; what this involved is un-known.
3. Steve mostly used the HDR for it's electromagnetic "healing" properties,
(similar to the Bob Becks device/protocol).
Steve's "healing" treatments would be for anything from toothache to shoulder pain.
IMO some of his "treatment" sessions went way too long, especially the toothache sessions.
As for an "actual" HDR session for Time Travel; the only one I am aware of are the Patricia Ress session.
So Steve was "exposed" to an operating HDR almost everyday for decades.
But as you know; just turning the HDR on can cause "strange things" to happen.
Especially when near or traveling over suspected/possible large natural or man-made "vortexes".
And Steve was no stranger to "weird" things happening.
Especially when traveling to Topeka, KS, which he believed contained a large natural vortex.
The phone conversations between Steve and I, almost always contained discussions
on "jumping timelines" and "counterparts".
