Call to ban Einstein from Paranormalis

Points have been raised thats every members right to do so, i definelty dont think Einstein should be banned. He was spoken to as seen from the thread here @Inquisitor.

I saw that and acknowledged it. It would have ended there if people didn't start to seriously defend him like he didn't do anything wrong. And now, they are assuming I'm some fake time traveler out for revenge and they are calling me the mentally sick one.

Knowing Einstein well, this was obviously a joke. Was it a great or politically correct joke? No. ClassicalFan decided to remove it and warn Einstein, that sounds reasonable. That's what we do when that happens. New member, well established member? No difference.

Banning someone for one bad joke? That would be an overreaction.

I second Yeats' suggestion.

I would agree, if this was his first "bad joke". And he certainly doesn't seem to regret it, either.

Kathy Griffon showed Trump's head on a stick or something.
I'm not a liberal OR a conservative entirely.

I have seen Infowars exagerrate statements.
Right now they say Biden said he wants to kill ten million americans.
If you click the article it says he wants to shut down america for a while if needed.
I think shutting down America is a bad idea and could potentially kill people.
But the statement was not the same as what they said lol.
He (as far as I know) did not say he wants to kill anybody.
The right tends to sensationalize things thinking that if CNN does it
for the sake of fake news why can't they do it for real news?
While I get this----I also wish they wouldn't do things quite the way they do.
People love shock value.
Just for the record---I'm not voting for Biden.
And if I'm wrong--if he DID say this terrible thing, feel free to let me know

Even though I strongly disagree with Inquisitor (especially with his seeming dismissal of freedom in favor of security and progress) I do care about what he has to say and I hope that this discussion does not cause him to leave this forum permanently. Echo chambers are boring in the extreme, and I believe it is better for all of us to examine a wide range of opinion rather than march in lockstep.

You sir are one of the good few I have met here. While we may not agree on much, I am glad that you understand the importance of peaceful communication between opposing viewpoints. I would like to clarify something though. I never said I left freedom in favor of security and progress, I said that I value it equally. That is a notable difference.

As I said in my apology to you on another thread, I consider you to be a fairly open-minded person, so I am sure you will resolve this dispute with Einstein before too long. In the meantime, I urge you to remember that when you seek to restrict the rights of others you may endanger your own freedom as well.

by not restricting the rights of others can lead to your lack of freedom, perhaps there was a way to prevent world war two by not doing that to most German's which is possibility one and the other is it is necessary.
