Here’s the problem with GM’s switch to electric cars (BEVs,) though: nobody is buying them. Combined sales of the Chevy Bolt and Volt totaled 17,551 units in the first 9 months of 2019, down from 25,050 units in the same period in 2018. Combined sales of the Volt and Bolt represented 0.8% of GM’s U.S. deliveries in the first nine months of 2019.
