First, local cops would not be as willing to institute draconian control measures on the populations they serve. The people that they would be asked to arrest for things that weren't crimes before are after all the cop's neighbors as well as the people who pay his check.

There was an article that I read recently that kind of follows with this thought, I?ll see if I can find it again. Basically the man involved was being charged with public lewdness because of the stickers on his vehicle. One of the guy?s neighbors complained about them and decided to push the issue. The responding officer informed him that charges were being pressed because the images could be seen by and harm small children?no violence, but there is a trampling of free speech.

I do believe this article was posted before as well, or at least discussed. This is the gang members that are being prosecuted under the patriot act.

?Prosecutor Chris Chandler said he was concerned with the strength of the case until he saw the images.

?\"Once you look at the picture, it obviously depicts a sexual act. That's far beyond what is depicted on the mudflaps truckers have,\" Chandler said.

?On Wednesday, Young said the stickers remain on his car but he hadn't decided whether he wants to take the case to court. Young described the stickers as \"raunchy\" but not pornographic.

?The case came to the attention of police when the young son of Detective Kirk Roberts saw the stickers.

?Young said he would have removed the stickers with a request, but then Roberts threatened to charge him with a felony.

?Police issued the misdemeanor citation Dec. 12.

?\"The only reason I'm getting charged with this is because some overzealous, churchgoing detective got offended by it, and got even more offended by it by the fact that I didn't take it off after he threatened me,\" Young said.

Here is something to consider over a cupa. I have seen this kind of behavior in people that have tipped the scales of karma way passed the edge. The energy of their wrong doings is funneled back to the source and they cannot contain it NO MATTER what they do short of quitting. If he keeps going in the direction he is going, he will do himself in by some super redicilous action that shows everybody beyond a shadow of a doubt that his mind has become 'unhinged'. It clearly is only a matter of time before he looses it beyond his own scramblings. In this case his 'connection' to 'God' just ain't gonna amount to the hill of beans he would have liked.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't a painter, born in europe, that made it to the exalted rank of corporal, suffer from the exact same series of problems such as micro managing, loosing sight of the macro picture in favor of the micro, mood swings, the hasty removal of loyal aids when his actions were questioned.........

He was also found cowering on the floor screaming \"Leave me alone! I\'m slaughtering as many as I can!\" Or something to that extent. Do you suppose that there were truly aliens or could they have been evil time travelers? :cool:

Beyond the speculation and amazing similarities in mental stability between the two, the one thing that worries me is how close will the present situation mirror the previous? How many lives will be destroyed before W destroys himself? Another line of questioning brings up the idea of what miraculous invention will be discovered during the hullabaloo as well... something to ponder.

'Inventions' or rather what technology we have been sitting on since the 50's?
The dead giveaway are the 'advances' that have been declassified and marketed such as DVD, CD, Miniture Rare Gas light bulbs, those new 'alien blue/white car lights which you can hardly tolerate, because your brain just KNOWS that particular rate of vibration never was invented on this planet, things like that which have been coming out recently just to name a few. Nothing like reverse engineering.....

For some reason, 'hullabaloo' brings to mind go go boots, bellbottoms, shimmy shammy, flashing lights, the first person on the block to own a strobe AND a 36" Black Light, the dawn of a new aquarian age. Wha..Where Was I????

Now that you bring the metaphysical into it, I wonder if it is a case of bad Karma, or well... posession / obsession. I think however that you guys are missing the forest for the Shrub. I don't think that George W. Bush is the problem here. The problem is the bloated federal aperatus that has taken on a life of it's own, and has vastly exceeded the charter given to it by the founding fathers and the people. No one person, No one administration, and no one agency can be pointed to as the source of the problem. It is much bigger than that, and getting rid of it, or even lessening it will involve alot more than electing the "opposite" party, or impeaching polititian X, even alot of politition Xes. This is made scarier by the possibility of some kind of metaphysical oversight to the whole thing, which I think we should discuss on another thread.
