Living in a society run by liars, I would have to say just about everything is a lie. Lets face the facts. Capitalism has turned us all into slaves.

Capitalism is one of the best systems in the world, as set up by America's Founding Fathers. Communism is the system that turns everyone into slaves. And what most of today's Democrats and the Republican establishment practice is not capitalism, but socialism/communism. They believe in big government taking over corporations and businesses. Joe McCarthy was right.

It seems you've been properly conditioned to believe what you say. Of course you don't have to be a slave in a capitalist society. It is your choice to make. But the only way to acquire the basic necessities to survive is by becoming a slave. Get a job. Live from paycheck to paycheck.
 
@Einstein - The society you talk about is not a society of pure capitalism but of semi or quasi-capitalism with many socialist and/or communist elements. And FYI, I have a part-time job as of September 9 of this year. No offense to you, but I don't like it when people state stuff like that as if they are know-it-alls. In other words, you falsely claimed that I'm unemployed when, indeed, I am employed.

EDIT: I think you're a very nice and intelligent guy, but you seem to me to be acting a little weird today. Or is there something wrong with me or my perceptions? And what system do you think is better than capitalism that you are aware of, and that I am not? I'd be happy to hear of one.

I wasn't really referring to you at all. Just everyone in general. Food, clothing, housing, are only available to the slave workforce. One has to be part of that system in order to have the basic necessities to live.

Oh no.....Then who runs the country and makes all the laws pertaining to it? Again its not all conspiracy theory. If you buy into the conspiracy paranoia crowd the Illuminati and a host of other made up paranoid societies run the country. Of course if you prefer communism then by all means have the hell at it who cares.
