That's just what they claimed, so there's no prejudice. Having no history education is mostly claimed by Americans themselves. Just repeating the facts so that they can write better stories. If you compare UK and USA historical movies, there is a clear difference in knowledge.
Why schools have stopped teaching American history

To Americans, history is something that makes minorities uncomfortable and can't be tested across states. To Europeans, knowing history is the cornerstone of democracy after the holocaust. To middle easterns, history is the pride and national identity.

If aliens exist and have visited Earth then it's probably real (otherwise how did they travel here?) but it might not
be something us humans are capable of doing.

On the other hand yes it all could very easily be complete bullshit, some of it being hoaxes by the powers
that be just to keep the populace chasing their tails or something
