Why time travellers aren't talking here

Why are you such a miserable bastard excuse my language if what your saying is true then what are you doing to fix that implying that time travel is not real and if you don't believe in time travel then why are you even on this forum

This is not a time travel forum dude.
Get over your self.

Harte

In your case, your username is an indication of the degree to which you are a moonbat. Of course, it could be that you're being sarcastic.
If not... well...

Now, who is being called names here?
If I were you, I'd drop this whine.

I took Harte as an example here, because it was convenient. I'm not defending him any more than I would defend you if needed. (I say "I", but it's "we" as a team)

Let's look at another example. Someone posts schematics for a time machine they invented. It's powered by electricity and peanut butter . Do you expect everyone to "play the game" and ask all sorts of questions, like "does it work with crunchy peanut butter, or only the smooth one?" ?

Is it bad to point out it's probably fake, and that a time machine would never, ever run on peanut butter? Where's the line?

Let me know what you think of this case. I'm interested to know how you feel about it.

All we want in the end, is everyone to be nice to each other. By discussing this, we'll understand each other better.

I think one problem is you can never make it right as a moderator, because there is always someone who complains. Either the one side or the other.
But they make no suggestion how both sides can be happy.

The time travel forum is about science, in my opinion, so I think it is ok (???) if Harte and others criticizes people and the people that make the claim have to prove it.

On contrast, Harte is not in the paranormal threads and insults users. . I know people on other discussion board that do that and that is annoying. Spirituality and religion is not easy to prove so it is different on those threads, in my opinion.

If somebody claims something and cannot prove it like the HDR, I would say that is also ok, but they have to endure the critique in that case.

Depends on how this forum should function.

I can't speak for the rest of my "side," but since they're almost all gone, maybe I can, a little.
Personally, the only complaints I remember having made to Num on this forum involved a poster wishing my children were dead. Could have been one other making fun of my autistic son, but that might have been on another forum.
Other than that single time, I've reported things like porn links and advertisements - and that's all.
Maybe that's because I don't get butt-hurt when someone doesn't believe me. I know facts, and I don't espouse any hypothesis about which I don't know the facts. Because this is true, posters that want to refute my statements don't make me angry. They make me laugh.

Regarding spiritualism, I'm in no position to judge. If a poster has faith - of any kind - then I respect that and I respect them for it (I have so little myself.) But if the poster wants to confirm their faith by using physical facts, then that's really not faith and I can certainly judge that, based on the facts.

For example, I see the commitment to Time Travel many posters here have as an article of faith. But many of those will try to use a bunch of hooey to justify that faith, which turns the faith to dust.
Same thing with proving the existence of the Ark (either one,) ancient advanced civilizations, ancient alien intervention, modern alien visitation, bigfoot, etc.

Being told a truth you don't wanna hear isn't bullying. I'm not saying that's what you meant, here. I just want to point it out.

Like TF said, some people are very assertive and direct. Maybe they'll burst your bubble, but they don't do it in order to intimidate you, or to put you down.

I know it's a thin line to walk. If I'm to buy a weird-magic-time-travel necklace on Ebay, I'd rather have Harte tell me it's bogus. Then again, I love discussing the HDR and other time travel devices... So Harte probably doesn't agree with me there. See where I'm going with this?

I won't be surprised to see Harte tell a new member asking stuff about the HDR, or about a magic necklace, that he thinks it's a fraud. That's an opinion, that's fine by me if you're respectful. Now, is he allowed to harrass that member and remind him of his opinion everytime this new member replies or asks his / her next question? No, simply because it would prevent the discussion to take place. And that would be rude.

In other words, you're free to express yourself, as long as it doesn't prevent the discussion from taking place. Don't crash the discussion! :geek:

Does that make sense? Feel free to share how you feel and correct me. I don't pretend to know it all.

And thank you Harte for probably allowing me to take you as an example here. :alien:
there's a line between a gut-check and gaslighting aholes.

Pamela used to visit Paranormalis, but haven't in a long time.

Over time, all (maybe not all, but many if not most) of the other folks related to the story vanished for various reasons. Disinterest, lack of time, tired of being stalked, they were fake, etc.

Keep in mind, the Titor story is 20 years old now. It's definitely not as exciting and fresh as back in 2004.
they vanished cuz abusive aholes took over the site.
great job in moderating Num7...lots have messaged me with their observations.
lot of people are refusing to share their experiences cuz you gave up on the site.

why not just sell para and leave.
go take up golf
