I like music more when I cannot understand it. Then you can imagine what you the song might say or just invent something you like. The rhythm and the music of a lot of songs is very good.:)

I remember how shock I was, when I really could understand, what Eminem and Co said in their songs. Of course, songs can also have good lyrics, but not all songs, that have a good music vibe, have it. That is what I want to say.

I was really pleased to know you and ClassicalFan enjoyed the songs from the beautiful Marie Laforet, she had the ability to put emotion into every single word she sang, she is a great loss ..I will be looking deeper into some of her earlier music not necessarily provided for us from You Tube...

Here is hoping you both enjoy another wonderful French vocalist, Edith Piaf...The very first time i heard this song was on the radio sometime in 1957, and it made the hairs stand up at the back of my neck!....She dedicated the song in 1956 to the French Foreign Legion...

The very sensuous Gigliola Cinquetti ....The chorus should start you swaying from side to side, i was doing that with my eyes shut and fell off the chair!....Fortunately my Ninja training kicked in, and i landed on the floor safely ..

I hope you enjoy this wonderful power-ballad rendition of The Power Of Love :)..
My favourite song from the 1980s, performed by the beautiful and operatic trained vocaliste, Jennifer Rush ...

You just posted songs of women .

I heard it very often in the media but only in latter times. Very good song.

I like that song. It is in Latin and a bit in French. It was even number one in the UK:

This Indian song was for weeks in the European Top 20. Also a beautiful song, but I think the translation is not that wonderful. It is ok but not that good as the song itself. So dont look it up. But the rhythm and melody is very good. And I guess the most people who bought that song also didnt know what it means:

I think this Turkish song is very good, but I also dont know the translation ;). I dont want to look for it, because I think the lyrics are also not so great.

Thank you for bringing the three songs to my attention, i think i fell in love with the girl in the first song, Enigma-Sadeness...She has a wonderful natural beauty ..

I hope you like this Turkish singer/songwriter/musician/Sebnam Ferah...A Turkish friend of my eldest son brought my attention to the popular music of that lovely country...I love this particular track, which is a type of Turkish influenced Heavy Rock Ballad, played in a "minor key", that adds "mystery and mystique" to the musical setting...Minor keys are very popular in Eastern music..

We had no Spanish songs yet:

The lyrics depict a Roma woman in love with a man of the Calé tribe, who prays to the Moon to marry him because a marriage between tribes was forbidden according to Romani laws. The Moon asks for the woman's first-born as payment.

Forget Despacito! This is the Spanish song to listen:

A Hebrew song with some parts in English that was also a hit. (very good in my opinion). It is a poem from a Rabbi in 17th century:

And last but not least an African song that I like . The song is sung in the Duala language of Cameroon:

This is the first song I cannot watch in my country. The other songs are ok.
But the song is available, if you type the name. Good song.

We have had no Russian and Romanian song:

Here is a very good Romanian song that was also very famous in some countries. for @start at edge
Dragostea din tei of O-zone:

Here a good Russian song that was more famous under the name "All the things she said":
Тату - Я Сошла С Ума/t.A.T.u.

Dragostea din tei of O-zone:
The song is Romanian language indeed, but the guys in the band are actually from Moldova (which has a great part of Romanian speaking population), I think from capital city Chisinau (Kishinev).
However, the song title was originally correct, but distorted at the release, so it went on by its wrong name.
“Dragostea Din Tei” means “The Love From The Linden Tree” .. which makes no sense at all ..
Correct spelling is “Dragostea Dintai” .. which means “The First Love” (“My Fist Love”).

I don't know what Mr Putin would think about the song Ya Soshia S Uma, seeing as it was about "girl on girl action"..
However i enjoyed ALL of that particular video ;)..
