@HeraldOfTruth - President Trump has done absolutely nothing terrible for the United States. In fact, he is responsible for the economy improving greatly both before and after COVID-19. He is trying to undo 8 years of disastrous decisions and policies made by arch-communist Barack Obama. And yes, Joe McCarthy was right, this country's government is in many ways riddled with communists. Most mainstream Democrats approve of socialism, so it's absolutely insane to think that most mainstream Democrats are not socialists.

@Classicalfan626 There is a very big difference between communism, socialism, and democratic socialism. Do you know what those differences are?

Trump has done so many things that are absolutely ridiculous. Anything I use as proof will just be called fake news, just because it doesn’t conform to your beliefs. He is racist, has incited tension racially and with the large amount of protests through his words and very well known tweets of his. He treats women as objects and is overly sexual and even sexually abusive in his remarks. “Grab her by the pussy” is a very well known one, but certainly not the only one. He insults his opponents like a child, calling them petty names and mocking them as “pigs” or “Pocahontas”, among countless others. His own words and tweets, so you can’t even claim fake news. I can go on about how terrible of a person he is for quite some time. So what if he made the economy a bit better in some ways. He has destroyed infinitely more! I already posted links over in TTI, so anyone looking for a small amount of proof in the links I provided, go here.

He has totally mishandled the Coronavirus Pandemic. He still has people believing it is a hoax! He didn’t act until it was too little too late, now the US has AT LEAST 5,386,812 cases and 170,348 deaths. He politicized wearing masks, so social distancing measures are not as effective as they are supposed to be, leading to more cases. He ignored advice from the CDC and medical professionals countless times since the pandemic began, so how many deaths are on his hands is anybody’s guess at this point.

Do I really have to say more?

If you want to discuss politics I really recomend paying attention to what politicians aren't discussing nor are they willing to discuss. Politics is partly discourse, eh? The same can apply to any discssions and the same can apply to you.

You forgot to mention revolutionary socialism, which was a reaction to the industrial revolution and workers rights...ClassicalFan was right to include the thinking pattern of various politicians and their personal views on communism and socialism, because both share a few similarities such as advocating public rather than private ownership for making money out of a society..

Neither of them like the free market capitalist system because of the exploitation of workers rights (the unions helped to stop that in present day times) and also the gulf between the rich and the poor...There is always a little part of socialism within every free market advocate, and I would think that some of those people would inevitably end up as the democratic liberals, but I could be hopelessly wrong about that last one lol! :D..
