Why can't there be a world peace military that will stop any conflict starting. They be the police of the global nations. Every country would have to obey not to strike or make a terrorist attack on another country otherwise their government would be suspended while the peace military investigate the conflict. Depending on the outcome of the investigation whether the government get reinstated or a new government get put in place.

Because first you need international treaties defining provocation, which is very cultural and hard to define without bias. There will always be loopholes, accumulated small things and hidden communication. They might dump nuclear waste right next to a border, burn down religious buildings and call it repeated accidents, outlaw something central to a culture.

Without getting rid of provocations, countries can only team up with those who usually make the right decisions with an alliance.

Simple - Greed

War = Money, so long as the war machine rolls on the money keeps flowing.
Congress can pass Laws, and give money based off war, you think all that money goes to foreign country's? Nope, lines the pockets of the elite.

I always loved the idea of 1 on 1 hand to hand combat no weapons by the leaders of the country and that is what determines what, but even then you'd have cheaters or special interest groups buying in.

If you wanted to start a conflict your leader had to fight the leader of the country that you're attacking and that is only if they agree.

Sadly there is no real easy to to prevent war, short of just straight up killing those who start it, but then does that make the people doing the killing any better than the war mongers? What happens when the killers get power hungry who kills them?

The fine art of having peace without compromise never happens whenever there is hatred
confined within a set system of belief where one party cannot follow what another does.

Then again...I am naive enough to not understand why religions cannot see that
the end goals for each are relatively the same....And yes, I know it goes deeper than that.

Blood is usually all the same colour but Hatred is easier, I guess.

I have never understood that here in the USA when it comes to Catholics, Mormons, Christians, Lutherans...etc etc they will all bash each other and throw stones "New testament is the correct bible!! Nah uh King James is the correct! nah uh", but it is like ya'll worship the same God and have the same believes, like wtf are you fighting about??
