The Dot

I was wondering if any of you know what's the real deal with "The Dot".
I understand what they explain in the following link, but I don't understand what it has to do with "the world". Does it have anything to do with stuff other than the global consciousness ?

Looks like we are all connected in a certain way, and how you/me/anybody feel creates paterns in "randomness". So, according to the patern, the dot changes it's color. Green is ok, yellow is not that bad, and red is a bad sign, because it shows that the global mood of the planet is kind of negative.

Is that ok ? That's the way I'm now understanding it.

yeh thats pretty much what I thought to, but don't know for sure. I don't remember ever seeing a little kid with a dot. so maybe its age related. maybe I'll look at that sooner that later now I am wondering. don't they wear a vail too??
