Thanks Kairos. However your answer brings me to another question. Just how important do you believe an understanding for this unification is?
I am not sure. Maybe it matters; maybe we are a long way from being able to utilize it in any practical fashion.
But just to better understand the bigger picture it helps to abandon physics as the fundamental science from which all others derive. As I pointed out, there are deeper concepts to understand reality than just physics. Just looking at computability as a basis for the inherent intelligibility of reality shows a deeper reality than merely physics. Intelligibility is simply assumed by most people, but there is no reason to believe the universe had to be intelligible at all.
