A Rant about Elon Musk

@MODAT7 Bankruptcy is sometimes a business decision. One can make payments on debts interest free. It depends on the type of bankruptcy.
With a stock company, a scammer can loan money from a bank and apply to government benefits, send it to multiple shell companies owned by a friend by buying useless assets, and say that the company went bankrupt without the ability to pay back loans for the "elite consultancy services and virtual assets". In Sweden this will block the founder from creating a new company until debts are paid, but the majority owner's liability for paying loans depend on their credibility of having made sensible financial decisions according to the balance counting. But by then, most scammers have already fled the country to retire. This is why investors only offer bad deals. When I see job ads for crypto companies, the headline might as well be "scapegoat wanted".

These are the algorithms I'm talking about that are keeping his hands tied. He hasn't because he can't without giving twitter a root canal.

To trade stocks, you need a brokerage account. This can be a regular account or an IRA account. IRA's have a few more trading rules, but they aren't too bad. I handle my own IRA's since idiot "managers" are perfectly happy investing in crap and watching it tank in this kind of market. They refuse to go to cash as I did before all this because they won't get paid. That's a whole nother corruption argument for another time.

how did employees turn the shadow bans on and off like a switch?

I bet they had employee tools to edit accounts. They didn’t write code every time.

Give it some time, it can't get any worse than before Musk took over.

Most of the things he's said up to now seem pretty reasonable to me. Getting rid of bots and fake accounts, among other things, is going to be a huge relief. I'm glad he's been tackling this issue first.

Gotta be patient, change is hard and takes time to implement.

But his comments about “content moderation” and smug jokes towards people wanting “freedom of speech” indicate he has no intention of fixing any of it. His engineer Yo Yo brags about the censorship. Elon is proud of it.
Nothing is going to change. I am targeted. Not everyone has the shadow ban. For some reason, Twitter has always found me to be a threat and I don’t know why. I’ve head death threats that they didn’t take seriously. But shadow banning me keeps the site safe????
Your'e answer reminds me of that painting of the French Revolition to where a lady carrying a pistol with her boob hanging out, is carrying home the truth. French have a funny way of looking at things but I like that picture.I mean I wouldn't every want to see your's but strange things happen at super stores anymore. OIP (1).webp

Not seeing the point you're trying to make here.
Also, not sure what sort of moderation changes you expected.
I have only been on twitter a handful of times, and it is literally the pits. It's a sewer, but a sewer full of self-absorbed idiots.
Musk apparently was concerned more about the nefarious stuff they did to people they didn't agree with. Any place like twitter needs MORE moderation - don't see that as a free speech issue as much as shadow banning is.
