George Knapp did a great job, as usual, hosting tonight's event. Here's a synopsis:

Tsoukalos, joined George Knapp to ponder the idea that extraterrestrials have been visiting us since the dawn of man and how they continue to visit us. The new season of Ancient Aliens just kicked off with an episode tied in with the movie Cowboys & Aliens. Native American lore refers to such things as ant people, and flying shields-- this might have been how they would describe aliens and their craft without having a technological frame of reference, he explained. The Kachinas were said to descend from the sky and give knowledge to Native American ancestors, and some carvings they made of them look like modern day astronauts, with helmets, antennae, and tubes, he continued.

Tsoukalos talked about a newspaper report of a UFO incident that took place in 1865 in Montana. A trapper saw a fiery object crash, and tracked it down. He found what looked like a great big rock that had chambers with hieroglyphs in it. Some Native Americans described Thunderbirds as having skins like metal, impenetrable to arrows-- rather than birds, these might have been alien craft. He believes that in cases where ancient people referred to gods, they were actually talking about ET visitors who would seem like gods, because they didn't understand their technology.

Written in the Egyptian text, al-khitat, "the pyramids were built by the Egyptians with the assistance of the guardians in the sky, or the watchers from heaven," Tsoukalos detailed. He estimated that the pyramids at Giza were erected 12,500 years ago, during a "golden age," when the structures lined up with what was then the position of Orion's belt in the sky. He also spoke about the Nazca lines in Peru, which he suggested may have originally been part of an ET mining operation that left tracks, and the locals expanded on the lines in order to get the "gods" to come back.

Researcher and publisher Giorgio Tsoukalos discussed the ancient astronaut theory and presented evidence which he believes may prove extraterrestrials visited our planet in the distant past. According to Tsoukalos, the gods and heavenly beings mentioned in ancient religious texts and traditions were likely alien travelers. Further, stories of 'dragon snakes' found in certain early cultures may refer to aerial vehicles piloted by these ETs, as "the gods, or teachers from the sky, actually walked out of the belly of those flying serpents," he explained. The flying turtle carvings of Guatemala also seem to point to alien interaction with our ancient ancestors, Tsoukalos added.

The ET visitors tampered with early man's DNA to create human-alien hybrids, he continued, noting how this probably jump-started our ancestor's technological development. Tsoukalos believes an exhibit depicting a recreation of an ancient human at the Darwin Museum in Moscow confirms this hybridization program. Tsoukalos mentioned several puzzling archaeological sites as well, including the famed Cart Ruts of Malta, Ollantaytambo in Peru, and a 400-ton monolithic bridge in India. Local legend says the massive megalithic structure in India was placed there by the gods to facilitate pilgrimages, Tsoukalos said.

Tsoukalos also announced that Season 3 of the History Channel series Ancient Aliens has been approved, as well as shared his take on 2012 and the Mayan Calendar. "Nothing will happen," he declared, adding that the biggest problem will probably be massive hangovers the next day.

[My note: You know what is interesting. Giorgio said that humans and planet Earth may be nothing more than zoo animals for aliens to whiz by and look at every now and then. That's exactly what KC and I were saying a few days again in this thread. The show went fast. It was really fun tonight.]

well theres some storys from china about the aliens of old too and they got the pyramids there too just like every where eles on this mudball

Actually, these mounds in China aren't "just like" pyramids found elsewhere.

Number one, most of them are earth mounds.

Number two, the ones that aren't are rectangular, not square or pointed, at the top.

Completely unlike any Egyptian pyramid, but similar to earth mounds built by the mound-building cultures of ancient North America.

Someone found something.... They spoke about wanting to sell their silence... However a fatal mistake was made when the person included youtube tags that gave away what he was sitting on.. specifically three tags. Alien,aliens,UFO.

After having that pointed out to him those tags have since been removed.

also all I realy ment was that they have found pyramids in china too this is the first report I have seen of these type of structures in china. you can call them what ever you want but they are square and tall man made. it does say that the things are made of some type of a soild mix called loam(dirt) but they are there none the less and the storys about them are there also.
