Thanks @steven chivertonthe coper plate under the diodes if not enameled coated will only short the diode chain out and theres no information that it even creates a vortex so having a copper plate even screen will only short the diode chain out look at the solder on the diodes under the board now look at the coper plate if the coper plate was even enameled coated so the diodes wont short out on it i still don't see any valid reason how thats going to create a vortex
The vortex was just a "concern" of Gibbs, and based mostly on a purchaser's report of a "negative" experience (no further information).
This was told to me by Gibbs when he was working with copper screen to replace the flat coil under the rubbing plate (I supplied him the copper screen).
As for the diodes shorting out; they are covered with tape (see attached picture).
