I'm sure Minnesota played a role. I can't say that I heard anything about it specifically.
The revolution's strength was in our convictions. We had an idea, and while that idea varied, we knew that you can't simply kill an idea. Over time, you can distort the language to make it impossible for you to think the idea and only when everyone is subjugated to that can an idea be considered dead and even still the idea exists in a metaphysical sense. We also had more people on our side actually fighting. Even out of those not fighting, there will plenty of neutrals willing to help us with medicine or food. Weaknesses included the lack of good public relations. We lost because we lost to propaganda. As I've said before, the Chicago nuke was the ultimate propaganda and it lead to our defeat. We also lacked a good air force and navy, both of which made things very difficult.
I would suggest trying to make sure that you are protected from aircraft, including drones. Anywhere near the coast is an extremely dangerous place to be.
Orpheus, you have a lot of questions, I'll try to answer them all.
I've been here in this timeline for a while. I have been spending part of my time learning about the time period. The civil war seemed like a good place to start, because I don't want to get stuck in that conflict.
Osama Bin Laden died from kidney cancer in 2001.
Causality is a problem, but we hope to have resolved it. Firstly, you should first note that a mechanism for perserving causality has never been found in nature. It is a logical construct found only in the mathematics. When you mathematically describe an event that contains a paradox, the apparent paradox can be resolved by adding more variables. In time travel, there are an innumerable amount of variables, so minor actions should be outweighed by the storm of surrounding variables, thus preventing a paradox from actually occurring. Consider this famous example: A time traveler travels back in time to shoot and kill himself before he time travels. That is a paradox because it prevents him from going back in time to kill himself. However, lets say that the will be time traveler is revived at the emergency room later or that the shot missed and only maimed him. In this case causality would not be violated, but the past would have still been altered. In a similar way, I should be able to go back and change quite a bit, but as long as my actions do not change three specific things I won't violate causality. Those three things are as follows; I can't deny my own existence, I can't deny the existence of the time machine, and I can't deny need or motivation for my travel.
No. As I have stated before the device will come out in roughly six months. The technology behind it is what is significant. That technology was first proposed in the seventies and they were able to create it at a molecular level in 2008. It will be a relatively unnoticed switch, but it is the probably the greatest change in the industry over the last 50 years. The very foundations of computing will be overwritten. I want it to remain relatively unnoticed and so I don't want to mention the technology by name. As for the device, it will merely be an updated, newer version of something you probably already have.
That is not my intention. I said that the power in place will be the Paul Administration. I don't know who that Paul is. I accused no one, I merely assumed.
My username means, "way of a life's story."
We travel as a group. I was basically dropped off at his doorstep. The cell was only a valley over and Phil, Andy, Jed, Kyle, and I went to the lab together.
Hampton is a key place really. It has a nearby shipyard that caters to the Navy, it is near several key bridges, it is near a national laboratory, and it has a large military presence. It makes a significant target, but a difficult one. Not really because of Hampton itself, the entire area is one city wedged up right up to the next, so it really is a collection of cities where it happened.
I saw Lord of the Rings here in 2013 right after I watched Casablanca. You can't survive without appreciating art on occasion. While what I am doing is important, I still need to maintain my sanity.
It was on my mind. I felt that I needed to let that out. It was my first kill. It really had a deep and terrible effect on me.
Andriana is my girlfriend.
Phil is my squad leader.
Well, I mentioned everyone in my squad already, Phil, Andy, Jed, Kyle, and me. The cell is made of five squads and a few additional supports.
By supports I mean mostly noncombatants and specialists. Surgeons, tech guys, gatherers, and some commanders/strategists can be considered support. There are also tends to be a few trainees or other revolutionaries with us.
The squad leaders are Phil, Shade, Joseph, Heather, and Crow.
Yes, I have. Not by the government. While we were staying at a bunker, I broke a rule and they through me into the brig for the remainder of our time there. I was in there for about three days.
I did not threaten his family. I don't steep that low.
For Michigan, I will say that the way it wedged by Canada will be to its benefit. The way it is situated near Chicago will cause Michigan to be hit hard by cleaning and rescue teams. Yes, that might not sound bad, but the defenses are broken.
The major routes into Florida are closed off. Macon, Savannah, and Mobile. Savannah was unsupported and fell. If you were in the revolution and in Florida, you would probably be headed to those three places or raiding transports there. Guerrilla tactics like in most places, but higher risk.
Please, no one ask for their individual states or localities anymore. I probably don't know as much about them as you might like. I also don't really care to try to search my brains for small bits of information that can be widely misinterpreted.
If you survive everything, you will find that the money in your bank is fine and the dollar will stabilize with the genocide. And yes, a world currency will eventually be put into place.
Yes, it is possible. People obviously did. I wasn't alive then though. So, just make sure you are ready for it and stay in a places that are unlikely to have much conflicts. Stay out of Chicago.
I will continue answering your questions tomorrow.
