This is not going to be a simple ā€˜here it isā€™.
What has been found is almost more unbelievable than the whole ā€˜Godā€™ stories themselves, except for one thing - we have the evidence to support our findings, which anyone can reproduce.
As an introduction to the concept of what has been found, you need to read a brief introduction on the WBD website. It shows that many, many ancient myths and stories have the same physical source.

Four Case Studies are presented.

I'm sorry but you "evidence" is Lacking. So there are are Egyptian hyroglyphics That show round objects. Not concrete evidence. Similar maps, well the land is shaped and can be mapped using ancient techniques. Round tablets with holes? Not necessarily a CD.

Sorry to hate on your 10 years of work but I think it is all a long stretch to connect the two.

Did you read the two available Egyptian articles in full that present to original meanings of the glyphs ?

ā€˜Not necessarily a cdā€™ at first glance, but with an evaluation of the evidence, a 95 percent match of 220 ancient descriptions to the contents of a modern object is not ā€˜a stretchā€™.

The descriptions of the cd and its contents are not random, and are clearly stated by at least three biblical writers: 8 Book attributes and 51 vision descriptions from the Book of Revelation, 5 Book attributes and 96 vision descriptions from the Book of Ezekiel, and 69 dream and vision descriptions from the Book of Daniel.

Matching one 'fact' (ie. matching one ancient description) to one picture from the cd-rom would be cherry picking, but matching over 200 descriptions from mostly consecutive verses is not.
Three biblical writers who document an encounter with an 'angel' relate what they were shown (and told).
Ezekiel does this in over 45 often sequential verses.
Daniel does this in over 30 often sequential verses.
John does this in over 25 often sequential verses.

The pictures presented in the Evaluation are not random images nor have they been 'forced'.
They are pictures and images, and sequences of images from the mid 1990s Ancients cd-rom that, when compared to the sequence of descriptions from three biblical writers, match to not only what is being described (ie. the content of the picture) but to the sequence of pictures themselves and often actions taking place on the screen.

The 12 minute video on the 'Contents Compared' page shows from over 45 verses (mostly consecutive) 90 descriptions matching to images from a particular sequence of pictures from the Ancients cd-rom.

Yeah, I tried reading it and understanding it but it would take a lot of faith and belief for me to buy into that too. I don't really have that capability.
It would be another credo.

It's interesting how people want to believe that it's my choice to not believe in their fantasies. If I had to force myself to believe, it wouldn't work. It's not a choice, it's logic.

It's also difficult to debate the topic without sounding condescending as the nature of it makes evident an intellectual flaw that sets the tone automatically.

Did anyone watch the video I posted earlier about faith?

I've read the bible from genesis to apocalypse several times and studied it for a few years when I was younger.

Watching a short video to understand what is this debate about is nothing compared to that. :)

Take a minute, if your faith is strong wont change it would only help you understand atheists.
 
it would appear to me that the point where we all seem to break apart in our respective beliefs in weather or not there is a GOD is the paticular text we are trying to use as a refrance for our belief system...

at least that is the breaking point for me , my belief in GOD and who HE is was for many years tainted by the teachings of the organized church system . it seemed the more questions I would raise the more offended the teachers got. it very seldom ended well.

as a teen I soon gave up and ran off to see what was so bad about haveing fun. then when I started to do my own searching for the truth. I looked at many diffrent belief systems from all over the world. they all seemed to be centered around a man and his idea of the big picture. rather than a relationship with GOD himself. coming full circle I found my self back at the feet of CHRIST. it was then that it became very clear to me that almost everthing the church had taught was totaly wrong.

it was then that I became very intersted in the BIBLE and it's origin (meaning what books did CHRIST have and study). at that point I discovered the current accepted text ( king james BIBLE ) is at best a patched together groupe of transliterated stories. written for the sole perpose of giveing the church total control over the lives, and resources of the people. with very little of the original text left untouched/ edited by the church leaders of the diffrent empires as the years passed.

a vast number of the books / text that were read and excepeted without question as holy scripture by CHRIST, and all the apostles oddly have been excluded . replaced by the personal letters written between the apostles them selves. discussing the problems that were popping up in the church and how to best deal with the issues.

I know this much to be true that if you truly are trying to find the truth, and have a honest desire to know GOD . HE will find you right where you are you need not go looking for HIM . you will have you very own true life( Moses on the mountian moment/Paul on the road to damascus event ) you will come face to face with GOD HIMSELF and be forever changed. only then will you understand the truth of HIS being and be totaly humbled and ashamed for your own foolishness.

there is great wisdom in the words spoken by CHRIST
seek and you shall find,,,,,,, knock and the door shall be opened,,,,,,,,, ask and you shall be given.......
 
Do you know what was Paul's job before given the instructions to compile stories about "the good people" by the Roman Empire? That wraps up your very well though version of what happened. I share the same view.

You are very right on what is going on with the bible, although very wrong about us finding ourselves kneeled in front of an imaginary idol/deity because its a personal experience, to be delusional won't happen to all of us.

Please don't take personal offense.
 
Oh, and don't take me wrong, I do believe Jesus existed. A peaceful communist hippie revolution took place 2000 years ago and they got smashed.

Now, al jesus superhuman powers attributed I don't buy. I can explain further.

This story happens over and over, ghandi, mlk, Che, etc. slightly different but the struggle against tyranny will never end.
 
no offense taken you are not the first to tell me I am delusional, nor will you be the last I am quite sure of that.
we all must walk the path befor us in our quest for knowlage and truth, at a pace we are able to live with. we can not be hurried along or try to lead anyone els. each of us must find our own way.

however at the end of the day each of us will stand apon the mountian of lessons learned believing the truth we have found is real. only then will we pass on the the next realm and face the consequences of the choices we have made, and see if we put our trust in the truth or not.

if at that point your belief's are right and mine are wrong, then I lost nothing.
I have lived a good and honest life, based on the teachings of CHRIST. helping whom ever I could, when and how they needed it .....

however if my belief's are right and yours are wrong you will have lost everything even your own soul....
 
oh yeh.. almost forgot Paul, was a tent maker by trade... however at the time of his conversion he was on a campain to eliminate the Christians from the face of the earth.. being sent to dumascus by the temple priest. he was of the jewish sect called the pharisee's, and had been present being one of the accusers and even held the coats of those who were active in the stoning of Stephen the first Christian martyr...

seems odd that one who was so dead sent against the beliefs of Christians was to become one of the most active and famous of the apostles for CHRIST..
